September Goals

Okay, so we're already a week and change into September and I'm just starting out. That's not too bad right?! These may change and I'll probably add to them over time, but here goes:

1) Get my budget under control. Birthday gifts, activities, and going on a trip will make this next to impossible, so I'll be reasonable about this. Next month I'll really strap down.

2) Clean the house twice. Sure, this isn't up to par with my overall goals, but the last time I cleaned my house? Um... Exactly.

3) Prepare for the local community yard sale. Make a list of all of the big items and start hauling them over to the parents' house. Spend 20 minutes each evening going through stuff to get rid of.

4) Plan menus ahead of time. Try to eat meatless one night per week.

5) Spend 30 minutes 3 times per week exercising.

6) Paint the downstairs bathroom. Caleb's been bugging me to finish this for months now. It needs to get done if we plan on having people over for his birthday at the end of the month.

Introduction

So this is it. I need to clean up my life. My house is messy, my life is unorganized, and I still have a ton of goals to reach. This is my journey to cleaning up my untidy life.

First off, I have several goals that I would like to accomplish:
1) Complete one home project every month. I have a million and one things that I need to tackle.
2) Clean my house once a week. This has NEVER happened.
3) Loose a couple of pounds. That's for me to know and you to find out (maybe, someday).
4) Get my finances under control. My husband and I make enough that we should be comfortable. I have made choices in the past that have been detrimental to our financial security. This is yet another reason why he thinks we're not ready for kids yet.

So let's get to it!
